Mp3 vs Ogg vs Wav (High quality download)

You've decided that the song is complete and you want to share the song with the world. Now it's time to think about what audio format to use!

In Soundtrap you can choose between Mp3, Ogg and Wav.

Format Sample rate Bit rate
Mp3 44.1kHz 320kbits/s
Ogg 44.1kHz q9 (~320kbits/s)
Wav* 44.1kHz  1411kbits/s

Mp3 and Ogg compresses the audio file, which means that it will take less space on you hard drive but it will effect the sound quality. (With that said, Mp3 is still one of the most popular formats today!)

Wav doesn't compress the audio file, resulting in higher quality audio but it takes up more space on the hard drive.

*Wav is available for Supreme users only
